For me being a boss is totally differnt from being a leader. Just the name "boss" gives me gossepumps because a boss is normally perceived as the person that is bully, use their hearts and not the brains when taking decisions. A boss can sometimes break or manupulate the company in one way or another.
I will do intraspection on my weaknesses and try to improve myself by attending relevant training or courses and also ensure that I consult as often asd I can on issues that I'm not familiar with. I would also ensure that I send my juniourate for courses in order for everyone to be at par.
I would ensure to maintain professionalism and making sure I open the channel of communication also assuring confidentially at all cost. I don"t wish to be regarded as a boss one day but prefebly a leader would do.
ok boss, well said. you are right when you say there is a difference between a leader and a "boss". the sad reality is that we do have people in the coporate world who want to behave like bosses.
ReplyDeleteI do agree with you, you cannot lead by bossing people around you have to lead not to boss, there is a difference in these two terms, so i also want to be a leader not a boss. Good point
