Feelings follow behaviour

June Khuzwayo             Smed 11
Feelings follow behaviour

The above topic is so true. Ofcourse it is normally the feelings first and then the behaviour. In a case of loving someone. First you feel within you that you are in love with someone, once those feelings have been felt and developed, they then move to the next level, whereby your behaviour changes, perhaps you start looking at the person that you are in love with in a different manner.

I normally describe feelings as a mystery, because sometimes you find that you cannot control your feelings and sometimes you have no geniun reason as to why you feel the way you feel towards certain things. As human we react differently its always good to control your feelings especially in critical situations, because the way you might be feeling at that moment it does not mean that the whole world is standing still and waiting for your reaction. Control your feelings if you have a worse situation so that everyone around you will understand and perhaps sympatise with you. Its no use shouting at everyone around you just because things are not going your way or you are having a bad day.

Feelings are controllable as well as behaviour, don't do or say something that you might regret tomorrow.

Everyday is a good day

June Khuzwayo                                                        Media Studies 3

Everyday is a good day

We should be greatful to each and every day that we are blessed with, cause tomorrow might never come. No matter how difficult the situation you are faced with remember the man above knows why he gave you that challenge. I remember when I lost my Mom, it felt like everything was standing still until her funeral. Through support and also realising that she will never come back I had to get a grip of myself.

Its important to be vibrant and happy everyday, because the world waits for no one. Everyday is supposed to be a good day, ofcourse it cannot be denied that there are those days whereby you curse everything around you. But still each and everyday is supposed to be a good day.

From today onwards I will try to look at each day as a blessing and make sure I have a good day regardless of all the challenges that we encounter in our daily lives.

Have yourself a suppa duppa day!!!

It is a poor idea to lie to yourself

June Khuzwayo                                      Media Studies

It is a poor idea to lie to yourself

Indeed, it is a poor idea to lie to yourself. I guess a majority of people are guilty when it comes to the above statement. Lying to yourself is the worse decision one can ever make. I've seen people lying to themselves at work, people trying to convince themselves that they are capeable of doing certain things when in fact they don't have a clue. It is mostly sad especially when it comes to people at management position, when they cannot write a simple reports and they convince the fellow colleagues that they actually can.

I know of someone who cannot write a report and because his a manager he always deligate to someone that he knows will make him shine, its sad because he will never learn, will always be depending on this individual. I always ask myself as to what will happen if the report writter can decide to look for another job, who will do work or reports for this him.

For me the best solution is to come out clean, if you not sure as to how certain things are done, its crucial to say it as it is. It always helps, cause people will assist you freely and willingly, knowing very well that you are incapeable.

People must stop fooling themselves and come out clean. It helps, and its the best solution ever!!!

It is better to practice a little than talk a lot

June Khuzwayo                                           Media Studies

It is better to practice a little than to talk a lot

So true, practicing a little than talking a lot is always a good idea but in most cases people tends to talk a lot and not practice at all. People don't practice what they preach. If you look around your work environment you'll find that most people are very creative verbally and they always have good ideas but when it comes to implementation it becomes a disaster or a flop.

Not only at work environment we experience the above challenges. Now that we are heading towards elections am certain you have personally witnessed the verbal promises by the politicians. After elections the promises will be forgotten. Some of the politicians will deliver what they are able, and they won't bother about certain promises that they can't reach even though we were verbally promised.

It cannot be denied that most people practice very little and talk alot. In most cases when people talks alot the practical part becomes minimal. Its important you practice what you preach.

Wedding Cake in the middle of the road

June Khuzwayo                                                              Media Studies 3

Wedding Cake in the middle of the road

Eish this is funny topic, but this is a scenario of my story: Sam and Kish have been planning for their wedding for the past two years, it was just a matter of two weeks before their big day. They decided to pay for their wedding arrangements well in advance. Before they could get married they felt that it was ideal for Kish to move in with Sam.

Sam was self employed and every morning he used to take his fiance to work and pick her up in the afternoon. One day Kish felt that she was gaining too much weight and she needed to exercise in order to keep healthy, she decided to leave work early and she took public transport back home. Kish didn't phone her fiance to alert him that she was coming home early, since he was working from home, she also had her own keys should he be not at home.

Kish was so excited that she was going to surprise her fiance by coming home early and assist him with house chores. Surprisingly when she open the front door it wasn't locked and and she knew she will find Sam working in their bedroom which was also converted into a study. Guess what Kish was surprised herself when she found Sam with the lady from next door in their bed, busy entertaining themselves. The moment  was so hot as a result Sam and the girlfriend didn't hear Kish coming in, they were caught right handed if you know what I mean.

Poor Kish she was so disappointed she didn't know how to handle the situation and she started wondering around in the house. Eventually Sam realised that they had company in the house, he jumped and he saw that is was Kish, he sat her down and made her understand of which she did, she became loving to her fience and he was convinced that all was well.

Came the day of the wedding, Kish decided to pick the wedding cake up on her way from the Salon. On her way back from collecting the cake she bumber into her fience's mistress everything just flashed back. She felt so much hatred for both of them and she knew she wasn't going to go through the wedding. She decided to leave the cake right there and walked straight and never looked back. She didn't honour her wedding and it was called off. That is how the wedding cake landed in the middle of the road.

I am

June Khuzwayo                                      Media Studies 3

I am

I am June Dudu Khuzwayo, born on 16 June 19**, in Durban. I am the eldest daughter of  Late Sipho and Late Joyce Ngcobo. I have only one sibling Mthobisi Ngcobo.
I was born in Durban, I completed my primary school at Roseneath Primary and matriculated at Strelitzia Secondary School.

I then studied for Public Relations Diploma with M L Sultan Technikon. I graduated and then enrolled for B Tech in Public Relations, I enrolled for five modules, I passed four and failed one which was a great achievement for myself. I got married in 2002, to my first lover. When I think about it today I still get butterflies, I must admit it feels good.

I relocated to Cape Town in 2004, and currently am working for Parliament at the International Relations Division. I am a Project Coordinator, my work entails coordinating events, workshop and meetings mainly for Members of Parliament. Coordinating reports for my Division is another core task.
I am a very kind hearted somebody and sometimes I feel that people takes advantage of my kindness. I also have the dark side that I don’t wish for people to see it, cause I don’t like it myself. My weakness is loving unconditionally but once a friend or someone that I love messes with me I just completely write them off, I don’t have a room for disappointment. My family is my first priority. I have been blessed with two beautiful girls. If you could have asked me ten years back “do you like having children” I would have answered you without any hasitation that I don’t want to have children but surprisingly the mentality has completely changed. I’ve tend to be very soft and very sympathetic and loving towards them. When ever they are in pains I feel it before them.

My family perceive me as a strong person who can handle anything difficulty, but the real truth is I am extremely fragile I can cry very easily, or should I say I’m very emotional. I am a go getter, failure is generally not in my vocab.

I hope to have my own business in the near future. I’ve been blessed by almost everything that I require and I thank God for that.

Not all who wonder are lost

June Khuzwayo                          Media Studies 3

Not all who wonder are lost

I agree with the above statement, sure not all who wonder are lost, have you ever been in a situation where your head is so confused and you not sure which direction to take and not neccessarily because you not sure of your destination you are heading to but simply because you are not sure where to begin.

Sometimes people say things that really makes your head spin so fast that you tend to loose focus and direction. At that moment all what you do is wonder and wonder and really wonder.

The sound of one hand clapping

June Khuzwayo                    Media Studies 3

The sound of one hand clapping

Impossible, never, it can't be, no ways. The obove topic is truelly and sincerely impossible. The only possible scenario I can think of is when there are two people standing ofcource next to each other and both of them has one hand in their pocket, then ofcourse those people can be able to clap with one hand. I can think of many scenarios, taking high five could be another example as well..

There will definately be no sound when one hand is clapping. I guess it also depends where the one hand is clapping, because it can clap very well on someone's face. I truelly hope that face is not  yoooooooo mine.

Is polygamy a feminist issue

June Khuzwayo                                         Media Studies 3

Is polygamy a feminist issue

It is not something that was practiced by the old generation it still exist, India is one of the country that actively practices polygamy. But it is wrong! In any practice that we want is polygamy wrong to you? Or do you agree with me that, even if it's against the Bible and Christianity beliefs we have the right to choose what we practice and how we practice it? Polygamy was introduced mainly to support widows. Polygamy should be allowed to support orphans since a single parent cannot do it alone.

Marrying young children and overdoing it is indeed a feminist issue. Having children out of wedlock for instant a clear scenario would be what King Swaziland is doing but still it depends on the existing wives whether they tolerate polygamy or not, because for me shipping out would be the best solution. If my husband feels that he wishes to take a second wife I will gladly move out or vice versa.

Its all about respect!!!

June Khuzwayo                             Media Studies 3

Its all about respect!!!

Having respect for others is difficult when you have no respect for yourself.  Respect is earned if you respect yourself and others then in return people will respect you. One needs to pay attention when people disrespect them, and act on it. A person with self respect doesn't tolerate others to treat them badly, and would rather not associate with someone who is disrespectful "that's me". I cannot tolerate such behaviour, people who think that your life revolves around them.

This might seem obvious, but there are many times when we accept being treated badly (in both big and small ways) because we believe the person doesn't know any better or because we are not prepared to let that person go or because we are too down on earth to believe we deserve better. When someone doesn't give you basic respect, you need to be able to say, in one way or another. "You just disrespected me and that's not acceptable to me if you don't respect me. I won't spend time with you anymore." Can you say that and mean it.? Can you turn your back on someone who's clearly shown that they don't respecy you? Once you do that, you'll feel your sense of self-respect and you level of confidence would accelerate, trust me.

We are what we do

June Khuzwayo                            Media Studies 3

We are what we do

Our future is determined by our behaviour, what we do. Same as the past. The past made me to be who I am today. Its all about the choices that we make as "Human Beings" in our daily lives. We can learn from history how past generations thought and acted, how they responded to the demands of their time and how they solved their problems. We can learn by analogy not by examples, for our circumstances will always be different than theirs.

The  main thing history can teach us is that human actions have consequences and that certain choices, once made, cannot be reversede. They shut out the possibility of making other choices and thus they determine future events if your dream is to be a president, the study of politics and the positiveness determiines your career same as to any field one has acquired. It can be a negative or a positive action that one takes. People perceive us based on our behaviour, how we do things and how we respond to certain issues or things.

Gossip can be helpful and instructive sometimes

June Khuzwayo                        Studies Media 3

Gossip can be helpful and instructive sometimes

There are actually hundreds of thousands of people employed around the world to gather gossip for magazines and newspapers. There is a whole market out there that is willing to pay a fair price for a good gossip or rumour. What if gossiping was totally eliminated? Imagine how many people would lose their jobs?.

People who are good gossipers are often very creative. They do not just talk about other people, they actually turn their gossip into a very entertaining story. For such people, gossiping is the only place where they actually are able to employ their creative selves.

You can tell alot about a person by listening to him/her for a short while. If the person talks about someone else, you can be pretty sure he/she will talk about  you as soon as you turn around. At least this is one good way to keep track of what to say and to whom.

This is the only thing that is universal across all cultures. You can go anywhere and as long as you can gossip effectively and carefully, you will find friends. Well there you have it. It just makes me want to gossip now!!!

What is the colour of the win

June Khuzwayo                       Media Studies 3

What is the colour of the wind

Truelly and really what is the colour of the wind? Is it blue, brown, green, black, white or what? I've got no idea but to me it looks colourless. The wind is invisible, you can only feel it basically when it blows. We would be lying to ourselves when we say it has colour.

I've never ever seen it before. If that would be argued I guess no one would be regarded as wrong or write because we are all expressing our views on something we are not sure of. Unless scientist could convince us otherwise that wind has colour, same as water. For me its colourless but others would totally disagree with me on that because we see things differently.

We are afraid of the wrong things

June Khuzwayo                              Media Studies 3

We are afraid of the wrong things

We grow through being wrong, we stand still through being right. If you want to be right all the time, go and live underground. It's not going to be possible even there. You will find however that no one is there to see you become "humiliated". The next time it comes to your attention that you have been wrong, don't hide from it, look them squarely in the face and say: Thank you I want to know when I am wrong so I can be better next time.

Being wrong is not the worst thing in the world, therefore you have nothing to be afraid of. Is it so valuable that you would give up your sense of peace and well-being over it? Come on we are all human beings. Everyone makes mistakes and we learn from them. We are bound to err in one way or another and therefore holding yourself back won't help. We can't be perfect even if we try.

Does gender have any difference when it comes to employment

June Khuzwayo                            Media Studies 3

Does gender have any difference when it comes to employment

Yes it does,

Gender has many dimensions that impacts on employment, specifically when it comes to females. This justify differential treatment of males and females in the workplace where indicated. Then again women have reproductive roles that requires a degree of sensitivity in the employment relationship whereas males are sometimes in the same boat. So, it depends on the circumstances of the specific employee to determine the specific gender implications for the workplace.

My outlook is that males should get up, most women are multi skilled as a result of their reproductive role that requires them to multi task and such the worth of the female employee will soon be rated much higher than that of males.

What is really our role in this world

June Khuzwayo         Media Studies 3                             What is really our role in this World

Do we sit down and wait? Do we go out there and make a difference, do we sit on the street of Jozi and ask working class for donations. What is really our role? My understanding is, the role of youth is of most importance in today's life. It has underplayed itself in field of politics. It should become aspiring entrepreneur rather than mere workers. It can play a vital role in poverty alleviation and decrease of crime. Young  participation is important because the youth generation are the countries power.

The youth recognises problems and can solve them. Youth are strong forces in social movements. They educate children about their rights. They help other young people attain a higher level of intellectual ability and to become qualified adults. Its time the youth, the students have to realise their power, their role, their duties and their responsibility and stand up for their rights. Now its time that instead of brain drain we should act like magnets and attract the world.

Youth is the joy. The little bird that has broken out of the eggs and is eagerly wailing to spread out its wings in the open sky of freedom and hope. "James Let's be that little bird and fly up. This world has got so much to offer, why not take that as an advantage and utilise the resources that you are provided with.

Stand, stand, stand up. Don't waste time, the world is depending on us. We are the power of this Nation. Power is in us, Youth.

Gossipers

June Khuzwayo                       Marks                         Assignement                          Media Studies3

It's sad when you realise the amount of energy that gossipers have. A gossiper is one species that you cannot trust. I believe that a gossiper have a background problem, mentally challenge or perhaps an insecurity. Its difficult understanding a gossiper, you can never say you understand her, a gossiper, gossips about everything and everyone.

I have a friend who sometimes gossips with the dog when there's nobody around her and the sad part is she occupies a senior position. I always refer to gossipers as creative creatures, because of her malicious behaviour. The gossiper creates an unpleasent environment amongst colleagues. A gossiper hardly discusses work but she's always a champion in discussing people.

If I were a boss

June Khuzwayo                                  Marks                                 Assisgnment                   Media 3

For me being a boss is totally differnt from being a leader. Just the name "boss" gives me gossepumps because a boss is normally perceived as the person that is bully, use their hearts and not the brains when taking decisions. A boss can sometimes break or manupulate the company in one way or another.

I will do intraspection on my weaknesses and try to improve myself by attending relevant training or courses and also ensure that I consult as often asd I can on issues that I'm not familiar with. I would also ensure that I send my juniourate for courses in order for everyone to be at par.

I would ensure to maintain professionalism and making sure I open the channel of communication also assuring confidentially at all cost. I don"t wish to be regarded as a boss one day but prefebly a leader would do.

Pain Caused by an advanced HIV

June Khuzwayo                                                       Mark                                 Assignment       21/02/11

It cannot over emphasised that HIV and AIDS is a worse challenge that the world has ever witnessed. I always regard it as a silent tsunami which devours the fathers and mothers, boys and girls, teenagersand infants. It is so sad that today we read and learn that even grannies die from this cruel disease, as they have to take care of the orphans in the absence of their parents. Church ministers are caught at the forefront of enemy as burial has become a weekly if not a dayly activity because of advanced HIV.

Now the main cities are struggling to cope with influx of street kids and adults because there is no other alternative where they could find lasting solace other than temporary on the street. This influx unfortunately increases petty crime and hazards to the management of the city.

Life is sometimes so unfair, its sad and really sad.
